Kukicha is a blend of stalks and stems of the tea plant that has been oxidized and processed the same way as sencha. This tea has a light roasted flavour and a subtle sweetness. Similar to Houjicha, this tea contains very low caffeine and is suitable for those looking to have a green tea later in the day without having to worry about staying up too late. This tea pairs well with pastries and other baked goods.
