A wonderful mix of sweet Yerba Maté and spicy ginger pieces making for a deliciously warm cup. The result is a wonderfully well rounded and full flavoured tea. It is sweet and spicy, try it iced for a great juxtaposition of the warm spicy ginger and the cooling iced green Maté. Yerba Maté is extremely energizing and is a great healthier alternative to coffee.
Region: Argentina
Steeping Guide:
Teaware: Calabash Gourd and Bombilla
Amount: Fill the gourd almost full with Yerba Maté.
Temperature: 80°c (176°F)
*These instructions are based on the traditional style of brewing Yerba Maté; the tea can also be made in a standard cup. If this is your preferred method of brewing we recommend you use 2 teaspoons of Yerba Maté and steep for 3-5 minutes. The steeping time can be made shorter or longer based on your taste but we do not recommend adjusting the temperature of the water. If the water is too hot the tea will become very bitter.*
